Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TableBaba ("we", "us") collects through tablebaba.com and the TableBaba billing app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Information we collect

• Demo requests: your name, mobile number, business name, city, message, and the IP address the request came from.
• Outlet account: outlet name, owner name, mobile number, email, city and password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash, so we cannot read it.
• Devices: the device name, operating system and app version of each computer signed in to your account, and when it was last used.
• Your billing data: menu, orders, bills, payments, KOTs, stock, expenses, staff names and the customers you add (for example a customer's name, phone number and dues). This data is stored on your computer. It is also synced and backed up to our cloud so it can be restored on a new computer.
• Usage information: app events such as app opened, login, restore and day end, plus the day's bill count and sales total. We use these to show you service status and to improve the product.
• Website analytics: if enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure visits and clicks (for example download button clicks). It does not receive your billing data.

2. How we use it

• To provide the service: sign-in, sync, backup and restore of your outlet's data.
• To contact you about your demo, your account, its validity and important service notices.
• To keep the service secure, for example to detect misuse and to activate or deactivate accounts.
• To understand usage in aggregate and improve TableBaba.

We do not sell your data and we do not use your customers' details for our own marketing.

3. Your customers' data

For the customer details you enter in the app, you (the outlet) decide what is collected and why, and we process it only on your instructions to run the service. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to store your customers' details, for example to keep their bills and dues.

4. Where data is stored and for how long

• Data is stored on servers run by our hosting provider. These servers may be located outside India. They are protected with HTTPS encryption in transit, restricted access and hashed credentials.
• We keep the 7 most recent full backups of each outlet. Older backups are deleted automatically.
• Account and synced data are kept while your account is active. After you ask us to close it, we delete them within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records for longer.
• Demo requests are kept for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

5. Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run TableBaba, such as hosting and, if enabled, Google Analytics. We also share it when Indian law or a lawful order requires it. These providers may use the data only to provide their service to us.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or withdraw a consent you gave. You can also raise a grievance with us. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Children

TableBaba is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 18.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell account owners in the app or by email.
